How To Stand Out In A Crowded Market
Posted by Seran Glanfield on November 4, 2014 in Quick Tips
There are thousands of Pilates instructors in the world, quite a few in your state and possibly a good number in your town. So how do you differentiate yourself from them? What makes you different?
The answer is simple – YOU!
When you chose to become a Pilates instructor you chose a career that has a hugely positive impact on the world. You probably chose this path because you were inspired by the pilates method and what is does to the body. Perhaps you or someone close to you benefited from the incredible changes that comes from having an excellent teacher, or perhaps through Pilates you found a community of people who care about feeling good and moving better – just like you.
Whatever your story, don’t keep it to yourself. Share it!
When people hear your story they will relate to you and feel more connected.
This is the foundation for creating a strong personal brand.
It’s the details that make you memorable. I know that as instructors we are often told to not “get too close” but we are inherently close to our clients whether we like it or not. Sharing a bit about what got you to this point will help to establish trust. And when people are depending on you to keep them injury free – trust is good!
I challenge you to speak from the heart – share your Pilates story with your clients and your prospective clients.
Good Luck!
