In my opinion it doesnt matter. If you decide to go with a certifield instructor you will have the one-on-one adventage. It is more personal and it can help you in terms of finding what suits YOU the best. On the other hand you can do that for cheaper with dvds and books in your living room. The movements are the same. Maybe you could go to a Pilates class for a few times and then just follow the dvds. Once you get it down you wont need instructor nor dvds. Good luck!
