How many times per week should I do pilates?

Question by Dolce_Vita: How many times per week should I do pilates?
So I just got started on it yesterday and loved it (bought a couple dvds). I am really sore from it today. Is it okay if I do it everyday for 5 days a week, or should I do it every other day to let my muscles rest? I am not sure what the appropriate schedule is for pilates. Thanks.

some people do it every other day. but u dont have to. 5 days a week will work, but make sure you rest the other two days.

it would make a difference however if you can do it, I would recomend 45 min. because that will give you an extra 45 min. a week by doing only an extra 15 min. a day, plus I’ve found for some weird reason doing 45min. of pilates just works lol, however if you can only do 30min. it should be fine, that’s about all we did when I took it in school since it took so long to get out of our uniforms and into normal clothes.

if you don’t want to use any kind of guide.. then the only thing you really can do is research em and memorize them and then go from there..
